How to get your dream guitar
If there is one belief that will never change here at Blind Johns Guitars it’s the fact that a custom guitar should not be available only to the wealthy, famous or Joe Bonnamassa! You shouldn’t have to sell a kidney or your first born child just to finance the guitar of your dreams from big 3 custom shops!
Custom guitars should be attainable for everyone! Now, having said that Im realistic, No matter how much I would love to I can’t compete with the likes of Hardly Benson on price… But, if you buy a guitar from Blind John what you get is a truly unique instrument, Made almost entirely by hand from start to finish! No pre-made, bought in bodies or necks. Just quality tone woods, hand shaped necks and bodies, hand relic’d nitro paintwork and a level of craftsmanship and attention to detail you won’t in any of the big factories.
You may have noticed I don’t have a payment gateway nor an add to cart facility. This is simply due to the fact I was sick of paying hundreds (Yes HUNDREDS!) of pounds in fees to faceless corporations for simply allowing you, to pay me, for a guitar I made for… YOU! So, I decided to abandon it! I now take bank transfers only… ‘hmm bit inconvenient??” you may think, but there is an upside! The savings on these ridiculous charges I can now pass onto you!
If you see a guitar that you like simply fill in the contact us form and I’ll get back to you asap, rarely later than the following day. If it’s a custom order then I will endeavour to assist you to the fullest and produce the guitar you’ve always dreamt of! Or, if its an existing ‘in stock’ guitar I will get back to you with payment and shipping details. Im always happy to discuss ideas via text, email or video call.
The vast majority of my guitars are custom orders. However I do sometimes get time to build a one off that’s been bouncing around my head for a while!
…and trust me, Ive have more of those ideas than you can possibly believe. To make every guitar in my head would take me several lifetimes!

All guitars come with top quality hardware, hand relic’d in house at Blind Johns Guitars.
If your buying a custom guitar I will happily install any pickups you want me to that I can get but for any guitar that’s a ‘stock’ or a ’Line’ item will have handmade pickups by my good fiend, the legendary Thomas Nilsen. I mean, if the hands that make pickups for Slash, Billy Gibbons, Derek Trucks, Richard Fortis, Keith Richards and a host of others is good enough for them… then hell, they’re good enough for me!
